Sweet Sixteen

Last Friday, January 23, we were all invited to Alexandra's "Sweet Sixteen"! Isabel was soooo excited for the big party! The party would be at the Plumbush Inn and not start until 7 pm. The night before, Brayden, Chloe, and mommy were all sick with a stomach virus. Isabel was so nervous we were not going to be able to go. She had lots of "ideas" as to how we could all go to the party. Luckily, everyone was well on Friday.

The girls were so excited to get dressed with all the big girls upstairs at the Inn. Then the party began. Isabel would not leave Alex's side - she danced, assisted with the candle lighting ceremony, got a henna tattoo with her sister (thank goodness it was temporary), and watched the big kids sing Karaoke. Isabel did not want to leave until the party was over....and there was no fooling her. Conversely, Chloe knows her limits. The most exciting part about the whole party for Chloe was the cake! She couldn't wait to have a piece of cake. It was 9:30 pm, and Chloe quickly started losing steam. I realized this when I saw Chloe trying her hardest to curl up in a ball on the chair at the table. She just couldn't get comfortable. The next thing I know, Chloe has army crawled her way under the table and curled up in a ball. Within ten minutes, she was out. Good for her! She found a comfortable, quiet place to get some sleep. She even chose the table furthest from the dance floor and dj! I felt terrible, she wouldn't get a piece of cake that night. Of course, I didn't remember to bring a piece home for her. The next day, she woke up, asking about the birthday cake. Sorry Chloe!

Isabel now thinks birthday parties are extravagant events! She has not stopped talking about her birthday party!
